CLOUD NINE 20
Infused with flashes of textures and prints, the Cloud Nine Collection for Spring/Summer 2020 is a turning point for creative director Alexandra Jacmin. If denim remains the field of predilection, new fabrics are intertwined with it to present a new decisive and contrasted FAÇON JACMIN silhouette. The various strokes of textures and patterns blend together with the firmness of denim.
Through this collection, Alexandra explores the concept of confinement and escape. The denim jacket is deconstructed to break free from its sleeves and becomes a tank top or a dress. Different materials are introduced in contrast with denim. From under the lapel of a suit jacket transpires a printed fabric of a wandering tiger inspired from Katsushika Hokusai’s Tiger and the Moon. Printed belts on criss-cross jeans and bermuda shorts create a playful silhouette, while extravagant batwing sleeves and subtle shoulder pads establish a driven attitude. Iconic pieces such as our Ruby zip dress and our Patti tailored pants are declined in white and mid blue colours.
Foremost, the Spring/Summer 2020 collection represents a charismatic revival of the denim garment and a new vision for fluidity and lightness. Shaping for an instinctive view – a stream of consciousness shaped by pure bliss. Discover the collection here.
